About Me

Hi, I’m Shrikar Seshadri.

I’m from Middletown, CT, and I’m a first-year honors student at the Georgia Institute of Technology. My passion lies in exploring the practical intersections between computer systems and software to optimize technology for a better tomorrow. My academic focus is on Computer Science, and my approach is centered around problem-solving, with a commitment to continuous learning. I am currently seeking a Summer 2024 internship opportunity in computer systems and robotics. This website serves as a professional and creative portal for me to express my views and to professionally connect with other individuals.

Beyond academics, I’m a lover of math and science, intrigued by tangible overlaps between subjects, from socio-political issues to the physics behind everyday life. In my free time, I enjoy engaging in personal activities that include:

My Career Goals:

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, I am committed to pursuing a long-term career in the exciting fields of data science or software engineering. My goal is to incorporate a managerial viewpoint into these fields so that I can effectively navigate the more general managerial facets of managing productive teams as well as the technical nuances of software platforms. My education path is purposefully split into two areas in order to do this: software and business. The technological groundwork needed for success in these domains will be provided by foundational computer science courses including CS 2340 (Objects and Design), CS 3600 (Intro to AI), CS 3001 (Computing, Society, and Professionalism), CS 4644 (Deep Learning), and CS 4646 (ML for Trading). Concurrently, I plan to enroll in the prestigious Denning School of Technology & Management from my sophomore year onwards, where I will undertake high-level business courses such as MGT 3744 (Managing Product, Service, and Technology Development), MGT 3078 (Finance & Investments), and MGT 3743 (Analysis of Emerging Technologies). These courses will be instrumental in honing my managerial acumen and strategic thinking. Additionally, I recognize the importance of hands-on experience, and I intend to complement my academic pursuits with internships at renowned companies, seeking valuable corporate exposure. My capstone project, which integrates management, electrical and computer engineering, and computer science topics, will serve as a pivotal experience, enabling me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Collectively, these academic and experiential pursuits will equip me with a comprehensive skill set and perspective, giving me a competitive edge as an adept professional in the corporate landscape upon graduation.
